Account Executive | Climate Tech startup job description
Intro
At carbmee, we're building the environmental intelligence platform the world's largest industrial companies use to measure, manage, and reduce their carbon emissions. We work with companies like Maersk, Lufthansa, and Zeiss, and we're growing fast.As Account Executive, you'll own the full sales cycle for our largest enterprise prospects, from first conversation to signed contract. You'll have real ownership from day one, on deals that actually move the needle for us.
Why this seat is different
Our deals are long-cycle, technical, and multi-stakeholder: you'll be selling into procurement, sustainability, and engineering teams at the same time, often against the inertia of "we'll just use a spreadsheet." If you've sold complex B2B SaaS where the win depends on translating technical value into board-level urgency, this is that seat, at a stage where you shape how we do it.
Your tasks
- Own the entire sales cycle end-to-end: prospecting, qualification, negotiation, close
- Build and run your own outbound strategy: LinkedIn, phone, email, your own network, to build pipeline in your target accounts
- Lead demos and presentations that translate technical product value into business and compliance urgency for enterprise buyers
- Navigate multi-stakeholder enterprise deals (procurement, sustainability, technical) without losing momentum
- Keep your pipeline clean and current in our CRM: no last-minute pipeline archaeology
- Partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to keep what we sell aligned with what we can deliver
- Bring market and competitor intel back to the team to sharpen our positioning
Your profile
Proven track record running full-cycle enterprise B2B SaaS sales
Comfortable managing long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with technical and non-technical buyers
Experience selling into industrial or regulated sectors (automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, logistics, chemicals, or similar) is a strong plus, but we're just as interested in strong operators from adjacent complex B2B environments
Fluent in German and English: most of our enterprise buyers are German-speaking
Hands-on CRM experience (Salesforce or HubSpot)
Genuinely curious about the climate/carbon space, or ready to get fluent fast: prior climate tech experience is a plus, not a requirement
Based in or willing to relocate to Munich, with regular travel to costumers
