Microbiology & Molecular Biology Working Student at MicroHarvest

Tasks 

• Perform microbiological media preparation, plating & screening. 

• Develop, validate, and optimize assays through careful planning and execution. 

• Support general microbiology upkeep, molecular biology work, and documentation. 

• Support shake flasks and fermentation runs, including setup, monitoring, and sampling. 

• Contribute to general laboratory tasks (cleaning, autoclaving, Gram staining). 

Requirements 

• You are currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field. 

• You are familiar with basic microbiology and molecular biology techniques such as bacteria handling and cultivation, DNA extraction, PCR, and agarose gel electrophoresis. 

• Basic bioreactor experience is an advantage but not mandatory. 

• You are driven by curiosity. 

• You have a hands-on personality and team-play spirit. 

• You are passionate about sustainability and eager to be part of a fast-growing scale-up. 

• Fluent English.
