The systems are designed to replace manned helicopters for safe and cost-effective aerial intelligence gathering.
System Integration Engineer Electronics (a) job description
Role and Responsibility
- Improvement and development of the drone avionics, including electrical wiring, sensors, avionics box, battery and power management
- Creating technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, configurations, settings
- Testing of components and sub-systems, focus electrical components and systems
- Support testing of the complete drone system
- Root cause problem solving
- Technical documentation
- Electrical assembly of components and systems for testing
- Managing avionics component and avionics system suppliers
- Taking over system design responsibility
- Improving SwissDrones processes and procedures
Your profile
- Solid technical education, e.g. apprenticeship as aircraft electronic technician (Lehre als Elektroniker/in , Lehre als Luftfahrzeugelektroniker) or equivalent
- Higher education optional, e.g. in electrical engineering, avionics engineering, systems engineering (Höhere Fachschule als Techniker in Elektrotechnik /Avionik oder Fachhochschule in Elektronik/Avionik oder Fachhochschule in Systemtechnik) or equivalent
- 3+ years relevant working experience in the avionics and electronics field
- Experience in one of the major CAD programs for electronics
- Experience in electrical design, manufacturing, assembly and testing
- Experience of working in a high quality and safety requirements environment, e.g., aviation, automotive, pharmaceuticals, medical devices or similar
- Experience in software integration, configuration, programming or software development skills are a plus
- High degree of flexibility and working in a dynamic and growing company
- Willingness to solve problems
- Willingness to improve company procedures and processes
- Team player
- Fluent in English - written and spoken
- Experience with M365 (Sharepoint, Outlook, Teams)
- A strong can-do/will-do attitude
Nice-to-haves
- Having worked under EASA Part 66 B2 License
- Experience with Jira, Confluence
- German: B2 - Upper Intermediate language
