About Nomos

Europe pays more than twice as much for electricity as the US or Asia. To reach competitive price levels, Europe has to lean on solar and deliver the flexibility that makes this feasible. Nomos is building a full-stack power company to unlock that flexibility by connecting millions of homes to Europe’s energy markets.

What you’ll do

Nomos supplies thousands of households with electricity every day. You will abstract the complexity of the energy market behind intuitive interfaces, from the products households use to the API our partners build on.

• Engineer the entire experience. Design and ship across our hosted components, customer portal, and API. Own the architecture beneath the interface and the quality of the experience after launch.

• Treat language as an interface. Own the words that explain our product, from checkout flows to integration guides. Give the reader the information they need to decide, act, or build.

• Live the product. Sit with customers, dissect their problems, and develop a deep intuition for what they need. Use that judgement to decide what we build and what we leave out.

Exciting challenges

• Design the customer journey. Shape how customers discover, understand, and use our energy products. For solar export and flexibility, that could mean estimating potential savings and earnings before checkout and advising the customer on optimisation gains.

• Design an API our partners can build on. Expose the capabilities of Nomos through coherent interfaces, precise documentation, and useful examples. Give our partners’ engineers a clear path from their first request to a working integration.

Who you are

• Your taste shows in how the product works. You start with what the user needs to understand and do. You bring clarity to the flow, the information, and the visual design.

• You’ve built something real. Show us the product, open-source work, or research you are proud of. You can explain the architecture, the trade-offs, and the decisions you owned.

• You write exceptionally well. You know what the reader needs to understand and which words get in the way. Your emails, product copy, and documentation show it.
