We are looking for a European Transport Manager to join our team and manage all transport operations for freight and parcel deliveries across the UK and Europe.
What is a day in the life of a Transport Manager?
Manage all transport operations for freight and parcel deliveries, including marketplace and DTC carriers.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.
Monitor and analyse carrier performance metrics, implementing improvements as necessary.
Oversee budgeting and cost management for transport operations, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Ensure compliance with international customs requirements across a diverse range of product types.
Utilize a deep understanding of European road freight networks and practices to optimise logistics strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and enhance logistics networks.
Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure best practices in transport management.
What will I need to thrive in this role?
+5 years and proven experience in transport management, with a focus on international logistics.
In-depth knowledge of UK and European road freight networks.
Excellent knowledge of UK and European customs regulations and process.
Strong analytical skills with a track record of managing and refining logistics networks.
Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
Experience with Amazon logistics is a plus.
