Founding GTM & Operations Lead job description

AgentMail is building the identity and communication infrastructure for AI agents, starting with email. We're a category-defining company and are looking for a Founding GTM & Operations Lead to design and run our growth playbook across all channels.

This role is critical to our function and owns how AgentMail grows. You will build the systems, narrative, and execution that turn early momentum into repeatable, compounding growth. Behind the growth, you'll also set up scalable automations and operating processes, tighten internal workflows, drive pricing and logistics projects, and build the dashboards we use to make decisions.

AgentMail has raised $6M from investors including General Catalyst, Y Combinator, Paul Graham (founder of YC), Karim Atiyeh (founder of Ramp), Paul Copplestone (founder of Supabase), and Dharmesh Shah (founder of HubSpot).

What you'll work on

  • Build and own the GTM playbook across all channels including PLG, content, community, outbound, partnerships, events, and launches

  • Design and run growth experiments end to end, then scale what compounds

  • Turn product usage and market signal into repeatable distribution loops

  • Define category narrative, positioning, and messaging so AgentMail becomes the default answer

  • Partner with product and engineering to bake growth into the product

  • Create repeatable launch motions for features, use cases, and integrations

  • Capture data across sales, product, and ops to build the dashboards that drive decisions

  • Build automations, internal tools, templates, and workflows that scale

  • Drive initiatives in pricing, logistics, vendor management, and ops quality

  • Define and test early sales motions with tight feedback loops, and run cross functional projects with fast turnaround

You're a fit if

  • You think in systems and growth loops, not one-off campaigns

  • You enjoy building playbooks from zero and pressure-testing them

  • You can run GTM across channels with high ownership

  • You are technical enough to build automations and develop a deep understanding of our product

  • You're Type A, process minded, and love making systems cleaner and faster

  • You can turn messy problems into crisp plans

  • You care about category creation, not just funnel optimization, and you want real ownership over how a company grows

Bonus points

  • Experience growing developer tools, infrastructure, or API-first products

  • Familiarity with PLG and sales-assisted growth

  • Strong intuition for content, community, and distribution

  • Experience with GTM systems and softwares: Zapier or similar automation tools (Make, n8n), Airtable, Notion, Google Sheets, CRM systems like HubSpot, basic dashboard tools, and comfort working with simple API style data like JSON

Previous operating, consulting, and investment banking experience is a plus.

Compensation: $110K to $175K, plus 0.2% to 0.5% equity.

PS. our bar for this position is ridiculously high. We are aiming to build one of the most distributed products of all time. If selected for an interview, expect growth discussions and case studies as part of our process.
