Strategy & Operations job description
TL;DR: We’re looking for an exceptionally structured, execution-focused operator to help us scale claims operations. You will work directly with our CEO to bring clarity and efficiency to the systems and processes that drive how insurance claims are handled at scale. This role fast-tracks you into leadership of a core business area: with real ownership and a mandate to build and lead a team on your own.
Background: Strala is rebuilding the foundation of the world’s largest industry - insurance.
In less than a year, we reached multi seven-figure ARR. We raised two rounds from Tier 1 funds including Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, led by the partner who was early in OpenAI, Cognition and Scale AI. Our team comes from institutions like Harvard, Berkeley & Oxford and firms like Optiver, AMD & Palantir (+ICPC, NeurIPS backgrounds).
Role requirements: 2+ years in MBB consulting, investment banking, private equity, or top-tier startup in a strategic projects/operations role. Located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco.

What the role entails:
You will own special projects and strategic initiatives, working directly with the CEO
Build and formalize claims operations as we scale rapidly (process, hiring, workflows)
Design scalable, data-driven processes that optimize our product workflows
Lead cross-functional problem solving across product, engineering, and business teams
