Salmon is a technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines.
We combine global fintech expertise with deep local market knowledge to make financial services simple, accessible, and useful for millions of people across the region.

Manila-based, globally distributed, and hybrid-first — our team spans 45+ countries.
If you want to solve complex problems at scale and impact how millions of people access and manage money, come build with us.
Southeast Asia's fintech moment starts here.
About the role
You'll take over payment operations at Salmon — reconciliation, settlements, disputes, transaction monitoring, partner operations — and stand up AML operations as the function grows.
What you'll do
Run operations across both real-time and batch payment flows, with a pool of 7–10 partner banks and payment providers that keeps growing.
Launch AML operations from an early stage — the function is starting now, so the team, the workflows, and the monitoring routines are yours to set up.
Work directly with Product and Engineering, translating operational requirements into new payment flows so they ship without endless iteration.
What you'll own
Take over live processes without incidents, gaps, or service interruptions — this is the first priority in your first months.
Own daily reconciliation, settlement, and dispute handling across every payment partner.
Build and lead a Philippines-based operations team: hiring, onboarding, performance, motivation, retention.
Launch AML operations end to end — staffing, workflows, and transaction monitoring.
Define SLAs and KPIs for the function and report against them.
Hold the operational line in front of the regulator on your part of the business, including direct conversations in English.
What makes you a strong fit
5+ years in payment operations, including time in international fintech, digital banking, or payment processing
Hands-on experience with reconciliation, settlements, and disputes at real transaction volume
Management experience where you hired, built, and scaled a team — not only held a senior title inside one
Experience working with non-local or distributed teams, effective in a multicultural setup without a long ramp-up
Fluent English, written and spoken — your team is Philippines-based and part of the regulator communication is in English
Ready to relocate to Manila; the first three months onsite are required for work visa processing
