Overview

Position Overview

TheManager, Data Center Critical Facilities Operationsis responsible forday-to-day site operations of Fleet’s critical mechanical, electrical, andcontrolsinfrastructure. This leader ensures the siteoperatessafely, reliably, andin accordance withFleet standards while leading the frontline team responsible for shift operations, inspections, response, procedures, and routine operational discipline.

This role is the operating leader closest to the plant and is accountable for execution quality, team readiness, operational risk management, and response performance at the site level.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key areas:

  • Safety, security, and availability are the most important things we do. Help Fleet deliver near-perfect execution on these dimensions through disciplined site operations and strong frontline leadership.
  • Lead site criticalfacilitiesoperations teams responsible for monitoring, rounds, response, procedure execution, and safe operation of critical infrastructure.
  • Ensure all site activities are executedin accordance withapproved procedures, change control requirements, permit-to-work expectations, and Fleet standards.
  • Manage shift coverage, daily operating rhythms, handoff quality,issueescalation, and event coordination.
  • Maintain high readiness for abnormal operations, outages, switching, emergency response, and customer-impacting incidents.
  • Partner with maintenance, engineering, and critical systems teams to ensure plant issues areidentifiedearly and resolved effectively.
  • Drive strong operator fundamentals includingroundsquality, log quality, alarm response, housekeeping, procedure use, and escalation discipline.
  • Own site-level operating KPIs such as event response,roundscompletion, procedure compliance, incident quality, and team qualification status.
  • Support training, qualification, and coaching of operators and technicians to improve site capability and consistency.
  • Build a culture of vigilance, humility, operational paranoia, and accountability.

Education & Experience

  • 7+ yearsof experience in data center operations, critical facilities operations, or similar mission-critical environments.
  • 3+ yearsof frontline leadership experience in a 24/7 operating environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of critical power, cooling, controls, and monitoring systems.
  • Experience with operating procedures, incident response, change control, and plant risk management.
  • Ability to lead teams calmly and effectively during abnormal situations and operational events.
  • Strong communicationand coordination skills across shifts and functions.
  • Experience with DCIM/BMS/EPMS/SCADA and operational ticketing or work management tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Location: Onsite, Sparks, Nevada

Expected Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 + Discretionary Bonus
