Warehouse & Logistics Clerk job description

Astrolab is The Lunar Operations Company. As a Warehouse & Logistics Clerk at Astrolab, you will be responsible for receiving, kitting, packing, and shipping direct and indirect materials needed to support our engineering and operations teams. This role is crucial in maintaining the supply chain for our lunar rovers, balancing cost, quality, and delivery timelines to meet our project needs. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, procurement, and production to ensure that Astrolab’s inventory control and logistics processes are efficient and strategic.

What you'll do:

  • Incoming goods receiving: Receive goods physically & digitally into our inventory management system
  • Warehouse management: Organize & maintain the physical storage of our direct and indirect goods by flight pedigree and other requirements compliant to our quality management system
  • Production kitting: pick & kit to production materials and components necessary to execute on our production priorities
  • Inventory Control: Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure optimal stock levels and avoid disruptions in production
  • Shipping and Logistics: Physically package and electronically arrange the shipping out of components to suppliers and customers
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and finance teams to align inventory control activities with project timelines and budgetary constraints

What you'll bring:

Basic Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory control, or 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain 
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel 
  • Experience using inventory management, procurement, purchasing, or ERP software 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using NetSuite 
  • Experience supporting procurement, purchasing, inventory, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing, technology, aerospace, or similar industry 
  • Experience managing multiple projects or priorities while meeting established deadlines 
  • Experience analyzing inventory, purchasing, or supply chain data to identify and resolve issues
