About Understood Care
Understood Care is a Medicare-covered patient advocacy service for older adults. It pairs each client with a dedicated advocate who helps navigate healthcare, manage paperwork and claims, reduce costs, and make care decisions. The service supports people with Traditional Medicare and Humana Medicare Advantage, and offers help with care coordination, financial matters, mobility, medications, chronic care, and housing or meals. Understood Care was founded by clinicians, patient advocates, and healthcare leaders, and it works only for its clients, not for hospitals or insurance companies.

Help older adults get the care they need, from home, with a schedule you can count on. No experience required.
Imagine a job where you always know exactly what to do next.
No guessing. No juggling ten things at once. No manager over your shoulder. You open your laptop, and there it is: one person, one thing to help them with, and everything you need already in front of you. You make the call, you help them out, you move to the next one.

You'll never have to figure out who to call, what to say, or what comes next. You bring the human part: a friendly voice, a little patience, and the willingness to pick up the phone.

A real day
Nine to five, Monday through Friday, from your kitchen table. No nights. No weekends. No on-call. No commute, no uniform, no standing on your feet for eight hours. When five o'clock comes, you close the laptop and you're done. You will not think about work again until tomorrow.
And the work itself feels good. You're helping older adults who genuinely need it: people confused by their insurance, who can't get a ride to the doctor, or who ran out of a medication they need. Most of them are just glad someone called.

What you get
- Full-time W-2 position, paid on the first of the month
- Health insurance after 90 days
- Paid time off after 90 days
- Set schedule, 8:30am to 5pm Monday through Friday
- Two paid 15 minute breaks and one 30 minute unpaid lunch
- Fully remote
