Governance & Compliance Specialist (m/f/x) job description
Your mission
- You are responsible for steering and coordinating all governance, legal, compliance, and data protection-related topics for the Bulgarian subsidiary, ensuring effective local execution in line with Group requirements.
- You act as the local owner of governance structures, driving the implementation and adherence to group-wide policies, standards, and processes within the Bulgarian entity.
- You serve as the key counterpart to Group functions in Germany, aligning on requirements, priorities, and timelines while ensuring consistent local implementation.
- You coordinate and steer local board and committee processes in accordance with Bulgarian legal requirements, ensuring proper governance, documentation, and decision-making procedures.
- You act as the central coordination point for local stakeholders, ensuring that topics are properly aligned, escalated, and resolved.
- You coordinate external advisors where required and ensure consistent communication and output quality.
- You monitor relevant regulatory developments and ensure that local implications are identified, escalated, and implemented.
- You provide clear and transparent reporting to Group functions, giving visibility on risks, governance topics, and implementation progress.
Your profile
- You have a degree in law, business law, or a comparable field.
- You have relevant professional experience in governance, compliance, legal, or a comparable role.
- You have experience working in an international or group environment, ideally with close interaction between local entities and headquarters.
- You are comfortable taking ownership of local topics and driving implementation, rather than focusing purely on advisory work.
- You work in a highly structured, reliable, and proactive manner, with strong coordination and organizational skills.
- You have the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and dependencies effectively.
- You communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally, including with senior stakeholders.
- You demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and pragmatism.
- You have fluent English skills (mandatory).
- German language skills are preferred.
